About my job
I’m learning how to weld right now so I am able to both do the welding and then do the assembly as well. There is a lot of work and I am busy all day. I get to learn how to weld different materials, and by doing so I am able to increase my skill level and adaptability. It’s a lot of fun. You learn how to control and how to move yourself to get a better weld.
Every day I come in and look at the dispatch and see what I need to do. I start staging parts in order so I know what needs to get done first. Then, I start to get to work on it from the top of the dispatch to the bottom. At times, I’ll need to work on troubleshooting assemblies as needed, always checking parts to make sure the quality it on par. I am also always looking at process improvements to identify potential issues before they become problems. I also work with my teammates to look at the work we have completed today and looking ahead to the next day and how we can best prepare. We always know what to work on.
